H is for Handmade, beautiful objects made with passion and love. Knowledge and skill passed down through the years or new generations that feel a drive to learn and create. An attention to detail, an intrinsic exquisiteness. Hours and hours of work, a slow process within our busy life.
In our modern world, where things move so fast, a blur of constant motion, it seems practically a miracle that there are people still welding old techniques and skills to create handcrafted objects. Not only that, new generations are innovating on this knowledge to adapt and transform, adding a new layers of nuance.
A bit more expensive, but please take into account the hours involved and skills required, a handcrafted object is a thing of great beauty. From the ridiculously expensive handbags at Loewe and Hermès to the struggling local artisans you will find at design markets, each product has a team of experts or an individual creative, toiling away.
With H is for Handmade, we want to shout from the rooftops and make sure no one forgets the work of these passionate people. A reverence for a slower way of life, for quality over quantity.
